Why is everyone trying to compare and contrast Nirvana and Radiohead here?? I don't really see many similarities between the two, especially newer Radiohead. They're both very good bands. I personally like Radiohead better, but that's just my opinion. To each his own.

Im not saying they aint succesful cuz they are, and from what Ive read they were around even before Nirvana formed. But I dont think they've released an album thats had as much of an impact as Nirvana's Nevermind album?

what do you mean? their one of the most succesfull bands around..releasing an album free of charge and making top profits by touring. Having almost all of their concerts sold out. Id call that pretty succesfull.

I wish they would extend the part with the distortion. That's easily the best part of the song!

I find it harder to compare band a vs. band b. I judge every song as it's own unique experience. I am 21 years old, and I orignialy got into Nirvana when I was Veeery young. I got into Radiohead about 5 months ago. I resisted listening to there songs(besides creep, and karma police) for a long time. When I finally gave them a chance it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I listen to Radiohead more now, but it's not a fair comparison because I've listened to Nirvana for so long.

hmmm well if u listen to early radiohead such as creep you can tell it has this grungey sound. A lot of nirvana n radiohead stuff could be compared in any case but theyre both good bands and i agree with your point to a certain extent

Thats highly unlikley, those Nirvana songs thrust grunge music into the mainstream. And as good as Radiohead are I doubt anything they do will be as successfull.
